Talk or Die
Nov 18, 2025

If you’re in a relationship or a marriage or a friendship and you don’t communicate, that relationship will either end or you will both live in toxic hell for the rest of your lives.
**It’s no different in business. **
If you’re feeling any ill feelings towards your business partner or even a client or customer or investor, the **first **thing you should do is call them. No texting. No weird emails. You should preferably have a face to face chat, and if not, an online call with the camera on.
This might sound weird, but you should look each other in the eyes. It helps to remember that you’re dealing with a fellow human being. It helps to be a little compassionate and empathetic towards one another. Ultimately, what will ease both of your concerns is getting to a point where you both believe in each other’s positive intentions. Your investor most likely doesn’t want to make your life hard. They want to support you and push you. And somewhere along the texts and emails, that message was lost. Your cofounder is still the same person you were once excited to build a future and a company with!
And remember, building companies is hard for everyone, especially when it comes to mental health. Everyone is struggling and a lot of times people aren’t at their very best. This is where the most important word of the day comes in: GRACE.
Be graceful with everyone you’re working with and ask for grace back. The world is already hard enough. The market already gives 0 mercy. Customers are already intense and demanding. And that’s without counting any of the difficulties at home, a lost sleeping schedule, and time lost with friends. It’s difficult so it’s always a good idea to make it easier for everyone around you, and thus for yourself.
Happy co-founding!
